Old friends keep the holidays warm
Tuesday, December 4, 2007
Happy days!
I finally have enough space in le ol' casa, to add a new member to the family...
Here she is, "Phoebe"... named after the Greek Titan of bright intelligence. Originally, we were planning to name her "Gaia", but it sounded a little too 'guy'-ish when we tried it. Consequently, and completely unplanned, Gaia is the Greek Titan mother of Phoebe. Who would have thought? :-)
anyhow... here she is (at 18 wks old, which is 4.5 mo.):
You can see more of her at:
Phoebe's online presence
Hope ya all had a great Thanksgiving!! take care all. :-)

Lisa in Rock Springs
So I did the math today and it has been 10 years since I performed as a freshman
in Desert Dance Theatre. I am on the Rock Springs campus this week and next week as a guest artist creating work on the students and teaching. I happened upon this in the House Left Props Storage. I took a picture with my iPhone (hee hee). 10 years is a long time and of course a lot of things have changed, but I did smile big when I saw this marker, that and when I heard the students refer to "Final Frontier" :)

School started for me last week and I just have to say how weird it is being a student again. I have 20 books for 4 classes! Lots to do lots to do. It's exciting though and I know it'll fly by. 2 years and I'm done here. Then after I start teaching I can start work on my Masters. That's just crazy to even think about. Never thought when I started out that I'd end up here. Yay for growing up :) Well, I'm just on break from class so I should get going. Hope everyone is doing well!

What's up
Saturday, August 25, 2007
Hey All!
August looks a little thin on this blog, so I thought that I would help that out a little bit. Not too much new with me that everybody doesn't already know. I am moving down to Laramie tomorrow for grad school! A big change for me, but one that will hopefully be fun and pay bigger dividends down the road in the form of better job opportunities. The musical review of Annie Get Your Gun that I am involved in has the final performance of this run of the show tonight. We have been pretty fortunate and have had a complete sell-out all of our performance nights. While this show is fun, nothing can equal the magic of a Billy Show! I'm sure that we all agree on that. I hope all is well with everybody else. Talk at you all later.

Hey everybody!
Billy- Ty (Christina) from that picture is actually one of my Myspace friends so I will send her this way and see if she'd like to get caught up.
To catch up on my life.. it's funny how things change.. So I live in Fort Collins now which I love. I work as an Office Manager for a CPA here in town. He asked me one day why it is that I'm not teaching and I didn't have a single good answer. He's offered to work with me on scheduling and everything so I can go back to the University of Northern Colorado and finish my secondary history education degree. So that starts next month and I'm honestly extremely excited. I can't wait to be a teacher. I read the last blog that I posted which stated that I don't have the patience it takes to be a teacher and well.. phooey. That's crap.
Other than that, not a whole heck of a lot going on. Just livin life to the best of my ability and doin it with a smile. :)
Also Billy, I will be in San Antonio in October- I'd love to stop in and see you... how far away is it to where you are and how does one get there? :)
Hope this finds everyone well. Take care! Nadge

Hey Miles
Life is hard...
Look at those bums! (It's a watersport, but not jetskiing...! Or is it the other way around...?) lol
Hey all...
Yeah, long time no blog, but I'm sure as it is for most of us life gets in the way sometimes. I won't go into the whole story, but I'm still in MT, and it's not as bad as it used to be... New job, better pay, many many hours, and the upward spiral continues. My heartfelt wishes that everyone's trend mirrors mine!
The pic is from Pride weekend in Denver. (Sorry if it's posted funny, had to send it to the blog from my phone...) Got to spend some quality time at the Reservoir learning how to jetski...lol Just fun. Was nice to see some other alum after getting to see Lisa and Krisen last year. One of these years I'm gonna try to get waaaay down south there... And speaking of Vegas, Mat, I might be heading that way next month. I'll drop you a line on MySpace. And on top of that, if anyone know's anyone else who's not in the WWCC Group on MySpace, tell me or tell them. (Tho I have to admit I'm not the most conscientious moderator....lol) Billy, do you and Colleen have a MySpace?
Well, I'll cut my babbling short, just was reminiscing today and missed everyone! Feel free to drop a note, people!

Viva Las Vegas!
If anybody from the 95'-98' gang plans to make a trip to Vegas, you could save a bunch of money... No!! not by switching to Geico! That's just a marketing scheme! Rather, I just bought a house with a couple of spare bedrooms. So, save some hotel money... (although the nightlife on the strip is pretty cool too)... and come stay with me. Just make sure you take your shoes off before coming in... my girl gets a bit irked about dirty carpet. :-)
There now... the lure is cast... now we just wait for a snag.

wuz-up Torrelli!
Cool MySpace page. I see your name is "Damn Sexy". I am not sure what to think about mine. I tried that and if I give it my first name only my name sexiness is only 123, "Pretty Sexy", but if I give it my first and last name I get a 258, "Too Sexy" or something like that. I guess when I introduce myself I had better use both names huh! Unless I don't like her, then I'll just stick with Miles! Whatever. I see that Amber Hurley is one of your MySpace Friends. You ought to see if you can get her into this blogging thing! Also, just rying to remember, was it you that Justin and I used to smoke cigars with at the Village Inn? It seems like it was you and one of your friends, but I don't remember for sure. Fun Times! Later.

I'm back!
Some other news is after about 2 1/2 years I am going to start looking for a different job. I am not sure what yet and there is no major rush, just feels like I need to move on in a little while. I did go back to school at University of Colorado at Denver for my MBA & MURP (urban & reginal planning) so that is tough and my hope is it will pay off.
My softball team is winning this year so that is a plus and I am going on a couple trips this year, but my main focus is buying a condo or home again. I can't say that I have anything else really going on other than its outdoor concert season. I just saw the True Color tour and will be going to 311, Wide Spread Panic, Bluegrass Festival, Sting Cheese Incident and as many others and I can get to.
I will keep people updated with any new plans I have and hope to make a Texas trip later in the year. I know I will be in Amarillo and then Dallas - where are you compared to that Billy? It seems like everything in Texas is 3 hours apart.
Hope everyone is doing well and I will have to start going back to read now...and catch up.

I haven't blogged in a while and thought that I would up-date you on my news. Tony Husar and I got to act together again. A guy in Cody was looking for male actors in their 20's to do a short film and he picked up Tony and I out of the Community Theatre group here. I got the lead part. The film was called "Proud Sins" and was about a WWII Marine with post-traumatic stress syndrome who keeps having flashbacks to his WWII combat. Tony's character got killed pretty quickly though when he got shot in the head and his brains splattered all over my face. I finally got to do some combat-performing and it was pretty fun. The film was entered into the NCHS Film Festival and brought home Best Sound Design, Best Cinematography, Best Picture and Best Actor for Miles Mathews! Western Wyoming College was well represented. Anyway, it was fun and I think that I like film acting! The outfit that produced the film, Cactus Film Productions is expecting a deal to do short western films for the Outdoor Channel. If that comes through Tony and I have been offered jobs with that as well! On other news, I was awarded a Graduate Assistantship for University of Wyoming for the coming year and will be specializing in Pre-1900 American Military and Political History. I am on a short vacation right now in Idaho visiting Justin and Lara, and am trying to get them to go blogging! We'll see! Well, not much else going on. I hope that you and Colleen are well and enjoying the summer as it gets going. Talk to ya' later!

Here we are again...
Well, it's that time of year again when a young man's mind turns to poetry...tomorrow night is the competition to decide who will represent our venue in Dallas at the National Poetry Slam, and yours truly will be fighting it out with 7 other poets for a spot on that team. So, cross fingers, toes, eyes, whatever, and send your best vibes way way down Texas way for me. Good seeing Lisa on her way down here a couple of months ago, and popping in on Colleen, Billy n' Nate was really good for my soul. Hoping to get down there again in July. The lake house is amazing, by the way...Really happy to see Autumn on the blog (and I will write you back soon, AAA) and hoping more can be tracked down. Remember, iffn you've got myspace, let us know so we can hook up with ya cyberwise. Love to y'all, we'll see ya soon.

We just finished our spring show "Love Rides the Rails or Will The Mail Train Run Tonight". It went well. We had a total of 7 backdrops for the show. We built these drops into Olio drops. If you don't now how they work it is in your backstage handbook. Anyhow that was a fun and cool project for us.
Also, Lisa Neidermeyer came down to help direct and do costumes while Billy went to the Midwest Theatre Auditions. We had a good time working with Lisa again. Zach even came to see our show. If you haven't read any of his poetry, it is good stuff.
Well, that is about all from me. Next week is spring break and I hope to get a lot of fishing in. Whoever can should try to make it down for our show this summer, we're doin' "The Great Santa Clause Bank Robbery" again. WOO HOO!!!
Rock On!

Hey, Billy and Colleen! Wow, I can't believe you are all still out there doing so well. This is Tanya (Harris) Roundy--From the 1994-5 Into the Woods and chorus line year. It's hard to believe it has been that long. Anyway, we are here in Manti Utah, I'm teaching English and Drama and our six children aren't so little anymore. I ran into Varlo Davenport Billy. He remembered you very well and it was fun to work with him in St. George. I directed Seussical and I"m working on Taming of the Shrew with my middle school students and we are having alot of fun. If there is anyone else out there that remembers me feel free to drop me a line. we'd all love to hear from you. Take care.Love you all.T

wuz-up!
Aja! Yep I really love teaching. Most of the work that I get is in the vocal music department, which is my favorite. The interesting thing is that I have a BA in history, and I never get any work in the history department here in Cody. My plan is to be an educator after I get my MA in history. I want to teach history on the college level. There are so few professors who actually teach American History the way that it should be taught, so I hope to be a bit more fair as far as that goes. I think that our country's history is really cool and I can't stand these idiots who constantly blame America for everything. To listen to some professors, you would think that the world didn't have any problems at all until America came into existance and then things just went to heck-in-a-handbasket! I think that some more professors of the "America is cool" crowd are needed and I plan to add myself to those ranks. Not that I think America is always perfect, but our history is cool and people should be proud of it! Ok-ok I'm done with my rant. But I plan on teaching American History at a college. Oh-well. I do hear from Justin pretty regularly. He and I are still best friends. Justin got married in June of 2001 (although you probably know that right?) and he and Lara lived in Moscow Idaho for a while and went to school. Justin got his BA in psychology and he is a counselor for a company in Idaho Falls. He and Lara just bought their first house recently and I am going to go over and visit for a week this coming May. He is pretty successful and happy and is now working on an MA in psychology.
Torrelli!
good to hear from ya'! Catching you up on my last six years doesn't take much time. Most of it has been spent going to college in one place or another. After WWC I planned on taking a year at Northwest College near where I live, and getting a surgery done on my jaw, and then going to a University to earn a BA in musical theatre. Life throws unexpected things at you sometimes and I ended up having a more serious problem with my jaw (a lot of bone loss in the joint) which necessitated a change in career plans. I became a history major and got an AA in history from Northwest collge, and then spent a semester in Utah at Weber State. That didn't work out so I transferred to UW and graduated with my BA in December 2005. I was pretty burned-out on college, so I decided to take a year and a half off and pay off my student debt and work. The student debt is all paid off now, and I am ready to get back to college! That's my life for the last six years. Now you're all caught-up! I do some theatre productions with the community here and there, but nothing too involved. I limit my singing and acting for my jaw problem but I can still play smaller parts or even a medium sized part here and there and I sometimes do a little singing in small ammounts so that I can handle it. I am not married and do not have any current plans (or opportunities) for moving in that direction. Life is pretty good!
Billy!
I think that the other picture you were asking about is Christina Gordon who went by the nick-name of "Ty". I never really knew her that well since she was only in Pippin and never did any other shows with us.
Well, I have talked enough about my life and now everybody knows what I have been up to. Blog at y'all later.

I don't have much in the way of new things to blog about but I thought that I'd chime in anyway. Since graduating from University of Wyoming in December of 2005 with my BA in history I have been working as a substitute teacher in Cody Wyoming and earning a little money. I have gotten all of my student debt paid off and will be leaving to start work on a master's degree in the fall. I figured that I needed a break and wanted to pay off all of my student debt before creating more at grad school. I am still involved in a local theatre production here and there but nothing too fancy or time consuming. I can't wait to get going on the MA degree and finally be finished with school and MAKE money instead of only SPEND it all of the time! Congrats on the new kids Randi and Beef! I talk to Michael Velasquez pretty often but have been unable to get him to blog. So Aja....you're a teacher too huh! Cool! I would like to get down to Rock Springs for DDT this year Lisa and see some old friends. I will try but no promises. Blog at everybody later!

UnHoly Crap!
Sorry to not blog for a while, the change freaked me out. Now I am unfreaked. Just returned from RMTA in Gunnison, Colorado. Our wild and crazy show was well received, and one of our actresses won the Best Community Theatre Acting Competition, and her partner won the Best Partner Award. Our tiny theatre company has become well liked and respected by the RMTA community. Something has gone seriously wrong with RMTA, I think, to choose we lunatics two years in a row. Next year Denver. Saw some old faces, they miss the old Western crowd. And we all miss Colleen's choreography. Saw a production of the Robber Bridegroom, not bad, no banjo, which was strange.
Great to see some new faces. John Vitullo, wow. I just directed The Girl in the Freudian Slip. Holy flashbacks batman! Those who haven't had the chance, you can see what I am up to on myspace, as well as a couple of Westerners too old for Zach to know... www.myspace.com/spotteddogcreations For all of those near the Laramie area (incl Cheyenne and Fort Collins) if you are aching for some old fashion style theatre get in touch with me, we have commuters and a gas stipend. And now our theatre has puppets... Puppets who drink beer!
Best wishes to all..... Bliss

Hi Everybody!
Ummm.. after Western I finished up at UW with my BS in social science. I was going to go into the Air Force as an officer but they were only taking engineers and technical degrees at the time (right after 911) so I ended up just moving around the country instead. I lived in New York (upstate) for a while, then in Chicago with Kels. Went back to New York then to Alabama. I went back to school to teach high school social studies but realized that teaching requires a patience that I just wasn't born with (props to you Billy). So then I moved to Florida. Now I'm back in Wyoming and honestly I am so happy about it. I had been planning my escape for so long I didn't see how it had grown on me. I work in Fort Collins though so I may be moving down there so I don't have to commute anymore. We'll see. My memories of Western are some of the best of my life and I miss it so much. I miss everyone. At the time it never occurred to me that we would all lose touch the way we have. I'm glad that this is here to find out what everyone is up to. Well anyway, that's quite enough rambling from me. Can't wait to hear more from everyone! Take care!

New blog, old peeps... lol Billy, you'll have to Email me instructions on how to post pix on here. I have a couple I can scan and put up that might give some people side trips down Memory Ln.
Way good to be back tho. Aja and Randi, I don't remember seeing you guys on the old blog? Makes me all giddy inside... ! And to everyone else, it rocks seeing ya'll on the list there and I miss each and every body a lil more every time I'm here.
Life is kinda a weird mix for me at the moment. I'm half same ol', same ol' & trasitioning phase. I had tried to move to Holyoke, MA, but it didn't work out. I'll keep my fingers crossed that MT likes having me back... lol (And good to hear you got the house, Katrina. Sorry again we didn't get to see each other when I was there. So close!) Other than that, just plugging along like humans do.

I am currently "iced in" in Fort Worth waiting for a Utah student to arrive back from Christmas vacation. Originally Nate was coming to pick her up, but the weather turned nasty, and I told Nate to just go home and I would pick her up. I am here for a SWTFA meeting.
SWTFA is the south west equivalent of RMTA (with an order of Film on the side). I am still running the auditions for them. Our next convention will be in Corpus Christi. Life is good, Colleen still loves me, and I still have all my fingers and my toes. Which reminds me,
this girl that I am picking up was in the hall at school last semester acting all down, so in trying to cheer her up I used one of my old stand bys, "at least you have all your fingers and your toes" I told her. She looked up at me and then became sadder that ever. When I asked her what was wrong, she reminded me that she didn't have all of her fingers and toes. Part of one of her feet was missing. So there you go, another Billy faupaux. Keep on blogging - and tell all your friends.
Peace and Love to all of you. Billy
Oh yeah, not long until Texas wildflower time. Did you know that the indian paint brushes down here come in a variety of colors?

Long time...
Wow! I've thought about Western so many times! Aja Campbell (Witt now) saying HI to everyone. Still living in Wyoming, currently 50 miles southwest of Green River in Fontenelle. I'm living on a ranch, I'm the "local" teacher, my student enrolment is currently one! SO EXCITING! My husband and I live on the ranch and I have to walk 8 feet to work....:) I miss the theatre and acting and go every chance I can. I hope that everone is doing well, it sounds like they are....

Thanks for the invite. I have to admit I have been reading the blog but I hadn't yet thought of anything to post, but now...I have a story. But first, nate I only have one word for you EPICRANIUS.
I recently bought a home and have been diving into the tasks and trials of this endeavor. Just the other day i was getting ready to paint a room, and I must admit I wasn't really in the mood to paint a room. I did what I always do in this situation. I popped in a Bob Marley CD, then set to work and didn't come up for air for another eight hours. I think about Western all the time. I can't wait to read more about everyone.

Bummer about the old blog, hopefully we can get everybody back. We're about to start another semester hear in Cisco. The holidays were good for me, I went to Wyoming and saw my family and spent New Years with some friends in Colorado. I drove the bulldozer that Billy rented over the break! Heavy equipment is fun! Billy, Billy's brother-in-law, and I put in a very manly mail box out at Billy and Colleen's new house. We dug a hole about two and a half feet square and about 1 foot to 18 inches down then six inches into some rock. Then we put in a 8-1/2" i.d. steel pipe and pored just over a half ton of concrete to cement it in. Fun project. Billy and Colleen's new house is very nice.
Well I hope we can get back in touch with everybody, Billy I'll send you the addresses that I have. Have a good 'un!
Rock On,
