Konnichiwa!

1. ok...I've discovered that 4 of the wwcalumni crew have myspace pages. (Matt Buk makes a fine princess leia, by the way...I know you're intrigued if you haven't seen it by now.) I know more of you are probably out there. Mine's lame, but it's there. Share them here. www.myspace.com/konzach

2. What's about to follow is a diabolical use of this board in an effort to trick you into thinking you're reading something interesting...but it's more or less a commercial for me n' me poetry slam friends who are doing a radio show appearance on Saturday. Thought I'd share...

In an effort to spread the good word of slam poetry, members of the team that represented Pugsley's Library in Dallas this past year are scheduled to appear on the Wild Ass Circus hosted by Big Dick Hunter on Saturday, January 27. Scheduled to appear are Bob "Whoopeecat" Stephenson, Amy Weaver, Colin Gilbert and "Konnichiwa" Zach Schrotter. We'll also be joined by Jamie Kilstein-on tour from NYC.

We're promoting The Poetry Grind, our open mic and slam held 1st & 3rd n' 5th Wednesday. of every month at Pugsley's Library in Dallas (I-35 & Walnut Hill at Composite). The inmate's running the asylum as I host solo on Jan 31st...then Feb 7th, Jamie Kilstein's our feature-he's an acclaimed poet touring the country, and worth the drive to Dallas...and Feb 21st, your all-city 2006 Dallas slam champion Colin Gilbert will have his belated fundraiser for his trip to Vancouver to represent Pugsley's at the Individual World Poetry Slam.

The radio show airs in Dallas, TX on KLLI 105.3 FM from 7pm-9pm, and will be streaming live on http://1053freefm.com. Can't catch the show live? Go to bigdickhunter.net and check for the podcast that you'll be able to download after the show airs. Tune us in!

Sorry bout that...but that's what's happening in my world. Working on formatting wedding pics to put up on the site. Love to y'all.

Hi Everybody!

Hehe it helps if you answer to the invitation. Couldn't figure out how to get into this thing. I'm not the best with computers. Anyhow... this is Natalie Burgess aka Nadge for those of you who remember :) The picture is of me, Tenny and Aja in case anyone couldn't figure it out. One of the only pictures of me with a perm actually. Cracks me up. So let's see... where to start?
Ummm.. after Western I finished up at UW with my BS in social science. I was going to go into the Air Force as an officer but they were only taking engineers and technical degrees at the time (right after 911) so I ended up just moving around the country instead. I lived in New York (upstate) for a while, then in Chicago with Kels. Went back to New York then to Alabama. I went back to school to teach high school social studies but realized that teaching requires a patience that I just wasn't born with (props to you Billy). So then I moved to Florida. Now I'm back in Wyoming and honestly I am so happy about it. I had been planning my escape for so long I didn't see how it had grown on me. I work in Fort Collins though so I may be moving down there so I don't have to commute anymore. We'll see. My memories of Western are some of the best of my life and I miss it so much. I miss everyone. At the time it never occurred to me that we would all lose touch the way we have. I'm glad that this is here to find out what everyone is up to. Well anyway, that's quite enough rambling from me. Can't wait to hear more from everyone! Take care!
Hey Billy! From the last post, it looked like you were giving Dana congrats on the new baby. Just so you know, my older sister Teria is the one who had the baby...not Dana. :) If any of you want to see some pics of little Georgia go to: http://picasaweb.google.com/lindale49.

Hey all...!

New blog, old peeps... lol Billy, you'll have to Email me instructions on how to post pix on here. I have a couple I can scan and put up that might give some people side trips down Memory Ln.

Way good to be back tho. Aja and Randi, I don't remember seeing you guys on the old blog? Makes me all giddy inside... ! And to everyone else, it rocks seeing ya'll on the list there and I miss each and every body a lil more every time I'm here.

Life is kinda a weird mix for me at the moment. I'm half same ol', same ol' & trasitioning phase. I had tried to move to Holyoke, MA, but it didn't work out. I'll keep my fingers crossed that MT likes having me back... lol (And good to hear you got the house, Katrina. Sorry again we didn't get to see each other when I was there. So close!) Other than that, just plugging along like humans do.

ONoUDinint@yahoo.com Sweet Dreams, everyone... --Ben--

Billy here. Hey Dana, great to hear from you. Congrats on the baby!!!! Kelsey, I found your post on a comment, so I put it in the main post. It looked like you intended to have it there.

Dan you're starting to sound like a old foggy. Welcome to the club. I am going to arbitrarily post old photos that I find on my hard drive just to perk things up. If anyone knows any emails that they don't see on the blog, send them to me so that I can invite them to the new blog. Can you identify the people in the photo?

I must say that I feel a little left out with all of the blogs containing, "Hey, it's Firstname Maidenname, now Marriedname." So, I've decided to do my own...Howdee. It's Kelsey Shearer, now Kelsey Noimnotmarriedsogetoffmyback. :)So good to see some posts from old friends. Randi I! Hello Bebee! it's been such a long time. I can't believe your little girl is...not so little anymore. Congrats on your baby boy.Congrats on the Beefbabies as well! I'm thinking the two of your need to post some pictures. Not a whole lot going on in chicago. I just returned from my sister's house in Utah. The whole famdam got together for my new niece's blessing. I had such a good time, and it was hard to return to the bitter cold in Chitown. So, now it's back to auditions and hopefully some rehearsals sometime soon.So good to hear from everybody!Much Love,Kelsey

Working near home...

Yes, Billy, I do get to go home for lunch. Even if my student ends up staying with me for lunch, we wander over to my place and watch a little bit of a movie while I make my own lunch and he eats his. I actually live in a trailer that is connected to another trailer by a small breezeway, so I literally walk inbetween the two to get to and from work!

Randi, what part of Idaho are you living in? You might have said, but I can't remember. Carissa! Good to hear about you, girl!! Congratulations on your new baby! It's so good to hear about everyone!

Aja
I wish I was there for wildflower season. That was one of my favorite things about Texas. I miss good ol' Cisco. Anyway, I can't write much now because I've got to run to class, but I just wanted to say hi! and let you know I'm still alive. Hope everything is well.

Dana
I just finished doing production crew assignments for 33 students, and boy, is my brain tired.

Yes, Billy....unfortunately I can still do the walk-over thing and my poor daughter suffers from almost the same problem. She is not as flexible in her back, but she can stand on one leg with the other next to her head without holding on to it. She has learned that it's a great trick to do at parties (:

My son, however, was born lucky and cannot do these things (so far....he's only 3 months old- today!)

Thanks for remembering! I wasn't sure anyone would remember who I am.... (:

Later! Randi

Here it goes again...

Hello All... The (still trying to keep the reputation)... Beef. I have tried to post blogs quite a few times before, with no results... so here we go again! Thanks Billy for the new invite, I had almost given up. I am currently living it up in the greater Salt Lake Valley, Married... Carissa Maher now... have a rebellious determined two year old and... one on the way due end of March. Though I think that will do it for a while. I am currently working for Wells Fargo in Construction Loans and as an Events Corridnator and Still chowing down the COW like no other! I reminisce about the good old WWC days every time I bite into a JBCB! =)
I look forward to hearing from everyone else!
EAT MORE COW!

Soon it will be wildflower time in Texas. Did you know that indian paint brushes come in a variety of colors here?
Your right, Loopy, heavy equipment is cool! We had a bull dozer for the last month, and I just kind of treated it like a heavy duty 4 wheeler. They work great that way. (Billy here). Wow, Randi McBride, Katrina, and Aja. Haven't heard from ya'll in quite some time. I'm glad you are still kicking. Randi can you still do the walk over thing and are your kids double jointed? Katrina, I saw a picture of you over on Matt's website. Congratulations on the new house. And Aja, do you get to go home for lunch?

I am currently "iced in" in Fort Worth waiting for a Utah student to arrive back from Christmas vacation. Originally Nate was coming to pick her up, but the weather turned nasty, and I told Nate to just go home and I would pick her up. I am here for a SWTFA meeting.
SWTFA is the south west equivalent of RMTA (with an order of Film on the side). I am still running the auditions for them. Our next convention will be in Corpus Christi. Life is good, Colleen still loves me, and I still have all my fingers and my toes. Which reminds me,
this girl that I am picking up was in the hall at school last semester acting all down, so in trying to cheer her up I used one of my old stand bys, "at least you have all your fingers and your toes" I told her. She looked up at me and then became sadder that ever. When I asked her what was wrong, she reminded me that she didn't have all of her fingers and toes. Part of one of her feet was missing. So there you go, another Billy faupaux. Keep on blogging - and tell all your friends.
Peace and Love to all of you. Billy

Oh yeah, not long until Texas wildflower time. Did you know that the indian paint brushes down here come in a variety of colors?

Long time...

Hello,
Wow! I've thought about Western so many times! Aja Campbell (Witt now) saying HI to everyone. Still living in Wyoming, currently 50 miles southwest of Green River in Fontenelle. I'm living on a ranch, I'm the "local" teacher, my student enrolment is currently one! SO EXCITING! My husband and I live on the ranch and I have to walk 8 feet to work....:) I miss the theatre and acting and go every chance I can. I hope that everone is doing well, it sounds like they are....

Aja
Hey Katrina,

Congratulations on your house, spinny head! It's great to hear from you. Glad to see more and more people climbing on the blog.

Rock On!

Greetings from Holyoke, MA.

Thanks for the invite. I have to admit I have been reading the blog but I hadn't yet thought of anything to post, but now...I have a story. But first, nate I only have one word for you EPICRANIUS.

I recently bought a home and have been diving into the tasks and trials of this endeavor. Just the other day i was getting ready to paint a room, and I must admit I wasn't really in the mood to paint a room. I did what I always do in this situation. I popped in a Bob Marley CD, then set to work and didn't come up for air for another eight hours. I think about Western all the time. I can't wait to read more about everyone.

with Love
Katrina

It's been a while

Wow, it's been a long time! Casey called me yesterday and told me about the new blog so I thought I'd type a line or two to say HELLO to all of you! This is Randi McBride (Thomson now). I'm glad that Billy set this up so that we can talk and catch up! Things are well here in good ol' Idaho....haven't left since I graduated. Been really busy with two kids...yeah, didn't think I'd ever be a mom either, but here I am! I have a 6 year old daughter and a 3 month old son. Trust me, it's weird to me, too! I'd love to hear from y'all....gotta go back to work though!

Howdy Y'all

~Hello there everyone! I figured I better add to the blog - it looked a bit skimpy!!! Nate Dogg you are right, heavy machinery is fun!!! I miss driving stuff like that! Okay, so here is my update...I am currently freezing my bones off in Montana...We had some warm weather for a bit but now the cold is setting back in. I am trying to switch jobs - from Carnival to Royal Caribbean. I will hopefully get everything sorted and be able to ship out in about a week. Working for Royal Caribbean will be a better deal for me - more money, my own cabin, and officer status!!! Yay!! So, that is the update...I had a friend from Italy visiting for the holidays and I think the poor guy froze! But, he is left today and now it is time to work again...I hope that everybody is happy and healthy out there. Take care!!
~Lorna~
ps - Nate...I will call you soon...I promise!!!

Hey All,

Bummer about the old blog, hopefully we can get everybody back. We're about to start another semester hear in Cisco. The holidays were good for me, I went to Wyoming and saw my family and spent New Years with some friends in Colorado. I drove the bulldozer that Billy rented over the break! Heavy equipment is fun! Billy, Billy's brother-in-law, and I put in a very manly mail box out at Billy and Colleen's new house. We dug a hole about two and a half feet square and about 1 foot to 18 inches down then six inches into some rock. Then we put in a 8-1/2" i.d. steel pipe and pored just over a half ton of concrete to cement it in. Fun project. Billy and Colleen's new house is very nice.

Well I hope we can get back in touch with everybody, Billy I'll send you the addresses that I have. Have a good 'un!

Rock On,
-Nate

Testing the invitation process

Hi this is Billy testing the invitation process, as I intend to start inviting all the alumni for whom I have email addresses. Please be sure to let me know any email addresses that need invitations. Thanks, Billy.

I guess that this is our new place until I can get the thusar10@netscape.net problem fixed.
I will try to get the word out. If all of you will help get the word out, I would appreciate it.

Thanks,

Billy
